British rockstar Ozzy Osbourne revealed that he will be going into surgery Monday to remove and realign pins in his neck and back.

Osbourne’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, has returned to London to be with her husband for the grueling surgery, Page Six reported. A source close to the family told the outlet that there will be a “lengthy amount of convalescence” after the surgery, so a nurse is going to be working at home with The Black Sabbath frontman.

“Ozzy is 73 and any kind of surgery when you get older is difficult. This is quite major. He’s having the pins in his neck and back realigned from when he had a fall back in 2019,” another source told PageSix, “He’s been in a lot of pain.” (RELATED: Bella Hadid Admits To Plastic Surgery As Teenager)

Sharon Osbourne said earlier in June on the British chat show “The Talk” that the surgery is a “major operation,” and that “it’s really going to determine the rest of his life.” Osbourne suffered a neck injury after a fall in 2019, which forced him to postpone his tour at the time.

After the injury, Osbourne told fans that he had “more nuts and bolts in my neck now than my car,” via his Twitter account. The surgery left him with nerve damage, according to Page Six.
