A missing dog returned to her Greenville, South Carolina, home and rang the doorbell at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, South West News Service (SWNS) reported.

Mary Lynn and her husband Ryan worried about their lost 18-month-old puppy and had searched for her for seven hours that day, according to SWNS. The couple was reportedly surprised to hear their doorbell ring and see their pet, Rajah, standing at their front door. Camera footage provided to SWNS shows Rajah ringing the doorbell with her nose.

“I don’t even know how she knew how to do that,” Lynn said. “I’ve never shown her how. She doesn’t go out in the front yard, except to the car, so she’s never seen us use the doorbell. Ryan was up waiting around to see if she’d pop up. He saw her on the porch, and he ran off and got her.” (RELATED: Golden Retriever Pup Found Two Weeks After He Went Missing, Brought Home Safely To Family)

“She had thorns on her and seemed to have rolled in poop,” she added. “So, it seems like she had a great time. She thought she was in so much trouble and she was sad and sulking, but we were like ‘we’re just happy you’re back.’ It was hilarious, and we couldn’t stop laughing.”

A dog who went missing for three years in Kentucky was found and returned home in October. Another dog missing for 43 days was rescued from a grain silo and reunited with his family in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In December, a Chihuahua who was missing for five years returned to her owner in Compton, California, in excellent condition.
