Rep. Gaetz Wants To See Trump Release The House FISA Memo During State Of The Union
Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz called for President Trump to release the highly awaited House Intelligence Committee memo on FISA surveillance during his State of the Union address Tuesday night.

“Tomorrow, the President of the Unite States will walk down this center aisle,” Gaetz stated during a Monday speech on the House floor. “He’ll address this floor, might be a few more folks than are here this evening, and I hope that the first thing he does is hand to the Speaker of the House his consent, and his agreement to allow transparency to reign, to declassify this memo, to put it before the American people, and then let’s have a great debate about its consequences, and about the opportunity it presents to make things better so these things never happen again.”
On Monday evening, House Republicans voted to release the FISA memo, which needs the President’s approval to become public. Democrat Rep. Denny Heck said in a press conference that the president will use this memo to “feed the beast of this propaganda machine.”
Republicans assert that the public must see the memo. Rep. Trey Gowdy said on Fox News Sunday, “If you are interested in who paid for the dossier, if you are interested in Christopher Steele’s relationship with Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, then you will want the memo to come out.”
