Lady Gaga Teams Up With Joe Biden For PSA About Sexual Assault

Lady Gaga and former Vice President Joe Biden appeared in a PSA shared on Twitter Wednesday about stopping sexual assault.

Biden spoke first on the one-minute long video, praising the singer for being a voice for those “people have been forgotten and people who have been abused.” (RELATED: Photo Of Lady Gaga And Ex-Presidents Goes Viral On Social Media [PHOTOS])

“And we want to make it real clear. It’s on us, it’s on everyone to intervene — to stop abuse when they see it and when they hear about it, to intervene,” the former vice president said. “No man has a right to raise a hand to a woman for any reason other than self-defense, ever, period.”

The 31-year-old singer then shared that she was a “sexual assault survivor.”

“But we’re here to remind you that it’s important to reach out to someone in your life that you can trust and to know that they will be there to help you; there will be someone to listen,” Gaga shared. “Because you know what? It’s on us.”

The video comes after numerous sexual harassment and sexual assault accusations against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein over the last month.
